Rantingssss

So, my sister and I have shared an iTunes account since iTunes became a thing. I’d let her charge songs on my account and overlook it or give her things.

This didn’t become a problem until recently when she asked if she should get an iPhone. I asked her to not get it because it would fuck up my entire setup. Naturally, she ignored me and did it anyway.

With the new iOS 5 features, I’ve been automatically downloading her horrible songs / apps. Now, it obviously too late to split the account and making her buy everything over would bankrupt her most likely.

So, tonight, I decided to check out and move on.

I’m going to have to re-download every piece of legit music I’ve collected since 2002. I’m going to lose all of the legit movies / music / apps I’ve purchased. I hopefully can avoid having to re-download the OSX apps as some of them after HEFTY in price. It is going to be my project for tomorrow and I almost want to do a clean OSX install to top this all off, but I can’t seem to have Lion make a Flash Drive installer for some reason.

So there you have it. I’m slowly working through all of the things I need to shift over and even considering not using the email associated with the Apple ID anymore. Clean slate is an understatement here.

Anyway, It feels pretty good despite the fact that I’m nervous of having to send out the inevitable “Hey, I have a new email address” notifications.
